Description

The Peterson/Formosa 45 (a.k.a. Omega 45) is unique among sailing vessels, and this particular yacht is especially so. She was hull #11 from a run of 15 boats built for the Smith-Herbert brokerage in Seattle. The hull was hand laid in the Peterson Formosa 46 mold in Taiwan. Smith-Herbert had an American surveyor supervise the construction of the entire run.

This particular Peterson/Formosa 45 has already circumnavigated, and is a proven bluewater survivor. She is a strong well-built boat, meticulously maintained and well found.

A message from the owners:

“SV Kelaerin has been our cruising/liveaboard/adventure vessel for 30 years. She has circumnavigated the globe slowly over 17 years, sailing well over 70,000 miles. She has been admired by many of our cruiser friends and strangers who stop to look as well. We’ve taken very good care of her, updating her along the way as needed or wanted.

These particular Formosa Petersons, the Omegas, are few and far between (only 15 constructed) and are highly sought after. She needs a new owner now, one we expect to go adventuring with her as we did with our family.”
